- 6.6% of pneumonia hospitalizations died in-hospital-7.5% higher than the US rate (6.1%).
- 11.2% of all in-hospital deaths in Oklahoma were due to pneumonia as compared to only 8.8% of US in-hospital deaths.

- 62.9% were due to Pneumonia Organism Unspecified (12,017 discharges) resulting in $100,296,019 in total charges and 53.9% of in-hospital deaths (675 deaths).
- 20.5% were due to Other Bacterial Pneumonias (4,460 discharges) resulting in $61,158,532 in total charges and 36.6% of in-hospital pneumonia deaths (458 deaths).
- 8.6%% were due to Other Pneumonias (1,648 discharges) resulting in $13,911,740 in total charges and 4.6% of in-hospital pneumonia deaths (58 deaths).
- 5.2% were due to Pneumococcal Pneumonia (991 discharges) resulting in $13,191,606 in total charges and 4.9% of in-hospital pneumonia deaths (62 deaths).
