Foreign Fund Checks

The State Treasurer's Office processes foreign checks for state agencies because they require special handling.

• The agency must separate foreign items from their regular deposits.
• The Treasurer’s Office will send the foreign item to the bank asking for an exchange rate.
• Once the Treasurer’s Office has received the foreign check back with the rate of exchange, credit will be given to the appropriate agency.
