How do I obtain a copy of the Medical Examiner's Reports? Each case has an available ''Report of Investigation'' prepared by the Medical Examiner. If an autopsy was performed, that report will also be available. There is a $10.00 fee for a non-autopsy case report and $20.00 fee for an autopsy case. Any of the reports can be certified for an additional fee. Family members will receive a complimentary copy by request. Law enforcement agencies receive complimentary copies as well. All other requests are charged a minimal fee of .25¢ per page for uncertified and $1.00 per page for certified copies. Requests need to be made in writing to the respective office (Central or Eastern).
