This workshop presents organizing principles and casual pathways found in child abuse
situations. The roles of control and violence, fantasy, and emotional manipulation are
detailed in order to understand the abuser work product- the victims psychological
damage and behavioral patterns, including differing attempts to cope such as psychological
defenses, substances abuse, and victimizing. Implications for interviewing and analyzing
victims behavior are discussed.
