German filmmaker Werner Herzog continues his strong run of documentaries (Grizzly Man, Encounters at the End of the World) with Cave of Forgotten Dreams. For the film, Herzog gained exclusive access to film inside the Chauvet caves of Southern France, and was able to capture the oldest known pictorial creations of humankind in their astonishing natural setting.
