This existentialist quintet is praised for their clever, hooky, and layered psych-folk indie pop style. The Stillwater natives have toured all over the U.S. and Europe and have even appeared on a Tonight Show segment. Managed by Flaming Lips manager Scott Booker, Colourmusic has gained enough notoriety by playing alongside 'The Lips,' British Sea Power, Liars, and Yo La Tengo, not to mention their annual appearances at South by Southwest, that Colourmusic has begun to headline their own international tours. With the release of their more ambitious and aggressive 2011 album, My___is Pink, Colourmusic has traded their playfully themed performances for an entirely new sound and live show that interweaves new-wave pop with raw, old school distortion and grit.
