Born in Abbott, Texas, country music singer/songwriter Willie Nelson reached world-wide fame during the ?outlaw country? movement of the 1970s. Nelson is responsible for writing such country standards like ''Funny How Time Slips Away'', ''Hello Walls'', ''Pretty Paper'', and ''Crazy.? In his decades as a performer, the icon has also added the titles of author, poet, actor, activist and multi-award winning musician to his very extensive resume. He shares the stage with 2009 Country Music Awards New Artist of the Year nominee Jamey Johnson. His 2010 relase, The Guitar Song, included the single ''Playing the Part.'' The music video was directed by Matthew McConaughey, who also stars in the piece as a dancing gorilla.
