A serviceable, Wal-Mart-purchased guitar and quirky, creaky vocals that sound reminiscent of a carnival-barker croon are the foundation of Paleo?s music. Conceptually, the band is nothing more and nothing less than a single man, David Strackany, playing his songs around the world. Musically, the hip and eccentric Paleo is harder to define. Typically writing a new song everyday, Paleo?s tracks are lo-fi by necessity, because they?re self-recorded and engineered on Strackany?s trusty laptop while he's in-between gigs. Oklahoma City?s Blue Valley Farmer will open the show with southern folk flare.
