The 89er Day Parade in Norman celebrates the anniversary of the Great Land Run, which opened up the Unassigned Lands in central Oklahoma for settlement. This impressive parade features color guard and military parade participants, covered wagons, Western displays, classic and vintage cars, horses, bands and more. Secure your seat on the sidelines for the annual 89er Day Parade and celebrate the state of Oklahoma with the citizens of Norman and the surrounding communities. Awards will be given for parade floats, round-up clubs, musical and dance groups, bands, automobiles, trucks and equestrian groups. The parade route starts at Norman High School at Main and Packard and travels east down Main Street to Crawford Avenue.
