The Community-Based Youth Services Division is the branch of the Office of Juvenile Affairs that contracts with private and public organizations to provide prevention and intervention services.

The Division has two units, The Community-Based Youth Services Unit (CBYSU) and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).

The CBYSU maintains, monitors, and provides technical assistance to a comprehensive network of designated youth service agencies throughout Oklahoma that provide quality prevention, early intervention, and treatment services to at-risk youth and families. The services provided include: emergency shelter beds; First Time Offender Program; Community Intervention Centers; crisis intervention; individual, family, and group counseling; prevention and substance abuse groups; transitional living programs; teen court programs; and tutoring, mentoring, and case management.

Within the Community-Based Youth Services Division, the OJJDP Unit manages, directs, and provides technical assistance to the agencies that are federal Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Grant Program recipients.
