ONAP Application Preparation Workshops
For each funding cycle, OCAST offers application preparation workshops throughout the state. Based upon the current funding cycle's solicitation, workshops are designed to assist applicants in effectively completing the statement of intent and the application.
There is no registration fee, and enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. Anyone interested in attending a workshop must enroll online and should familiarize him- or herself with the appropriate solicitation prior to attending.
During the first half of the workshop Steven will provide an overview of the funding program and submission process. The last half will cover common proposal errors and suggested techniques to improve the quality of the application. This workshop will also be an excellent opportunity to help businesses and researchers think creatively about how nanotechnology may be used to improve their already established products or processes. The OCAST Nanotechnology Funding Program encourages businesses and researchers to pursue innovation that utilizes nanotechnology by awarding up to $500,000 to pursue risky but potentially rewarding endeavors.
Joining Steven throughout the workshop will be Brad Sutherlin, OCAST’s Contract Compliance Officer, and Jim Mason, President of the Oklahoma Nanotechnology Initiative. Jim will describe how Oklahoma companies can utilize nanotechnology to produce lighter, smaller, stronger, longer-lasting products. Jim and Brad will contribute guidance, years of experience, and answer questions during the workshop.
