Deconstruction of Old I-40 Crosstown Highway

Gov. Fallin greets Pennsylvania Congressman Bill Shuster while Oklahoma Congressman John Sullivan looks on.  The congressmen were in Oklahoma City to observe progress on the deconstruction of the old Interstate 40 Crosstown.

Construction crews work to tear down the old Interstate 40 Crosstown in Oklahoma City.  As part of the governor's Bridge Improvement and Turnpike Modernization Plan, many of the steel beams from the Crosstown will be recycled and given to counties for their use to repair or replace deficient bridges.
