OUR VISION
The Office of the Secretary of Energy supports growing Oklahoma's extensive energy sector by furthering the success of the State's oil and natural gas industries, while developing renewable and sustainable energy resources for the State.

Our Goals 
The goals of the Oklahoma Secretary of Energy are to support current energy industries, facilitate the development of alternative and renewable energies, and to foster the growth and economic development of the state through strategic diversity.

The Oklahoma Secretary of Energy is appointed by the Governor to establish energy policy, oversee several state energy-related commissions and boards, and serve as the Governor's representative to organizations including: 

• Oklahoma Corporation Commission 
• Oklahoma Mining Commission 
• Oklahoma Energy Resources Board 
• Grand River Dam Authority
• Marginal Well Commission
• Southwest Power Pool
• Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission
• Western Governors' Association
• Oklahoma Bioenergy Center
• Clean Energy Independence Commission
