Project Focus:
An unrealized market opportunity exists for significantly lower cost polarimetric Doppler weather radars designed to enhance the low-level coverage of large-scale traditional weather radar networks and for use in new markets that have previously been priced out of the weather radar market. To serve these markets, a short term but intense product development and engineering effort must be undertaken to meet the technical challenges of the opportunity. Once the technology is achieved, the market demand for the product will support the creation of a full-scale radar production facility in Oklahoma that will generate new technology jobs, supporting the expansion of the State’s economy.
