Press ReleaseNEWS RELEASE Oklahoma Signs New Long-Term eGovernment Contract with Oklahoma Interactive OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – February 22, 2010 – The state of Oklahoma has signed a new contract with eGovernment firm Oklahoma Interactive (OI), part of the eGovernment firm NIC’s (NASDAQ: EGOV) family of companies, to manage its official government portal, http://www.ok.gov, for up to 5 years. The contract has an initial term of one year with four, single-year renewal options. Oklahoma Interactive signed its original multi-year contract with Oklahoma in 2001, to manage the state’s portal under the name YourOklahoma.com. In November 2004, YourOklahoma.com was rebranded to OK.gov, Oklahoma’s Official Web site, and the portal was designed with a focus on self-service so users can easily find what they are looking for, with little or no knowledge of government agency functions. In 2009, Oklahoma issued a competitive bid for eGovernment portal services and the contract was awarded again to Oklahoma Interactive. “In the past 9 years, we have seen much evolution in Oklahoma eGovernment and eGovernment in general,” said Joseph Fleckinger, Deputy Director of Information Technology and Director of Information Services Division of the Oklahoma Office of State Finance. “This new contract ensures that we have the leaders in eGovernment services improving our portal and the online services that will be needed to service our community in the most efficient manner.” “Oklahoma has achieved tremendous success with its eGovernment initiatives,” said Harry Herington, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of NIC. “The state’s ability to drive and launch more than 280 services in just nine years is extremely impressive. In the past 9 years, OI has worked with more than 85 Oklahoma state agencies to develop more than 285 interactive government services.
