ALTERNATIVE FUELS TECHNICIAN

Mission:
To provide education, training, and awareness within the State of Oklahoma to ensure public safety in the expansion of the use of alternative fuels in the transportation sector.

Purpose:

The Committee of Alternative Fuels Technician Examiners has the responsibility of ensuring the certification process shall be uniform and practical in nature and shall be sufficiently strict to test the qualifications and fitness of any applicant seeking certification to install, modify, repair or renovate equipment used in the conversion of any fossil fuel engine to an engine fueled by an alternative fuel.

The Alternative Fuels Technician Hearing Board,  has the responsibility to investigate any concerns or complaints against any individual certified as an alternative fuel technician or company and/or business certified as an alternative fuel conversion company. In addition, violations of any provisions of the Alternative Fuels Technician Certification Act, or any rule or statute as prescribed by the Division of Capital Assets Management.
